Churchill Park Drive is a scenic ride which takes you through the Dandenong Police Paddocks, Churchill National Park & offering views of Lysterfield Lake towards the top of the climb. This climb offers several very challenging pinches with gradients in excess of 10% in parts.
The climb starts just after you pass the Lysterfield South sign (pictured below)
The first 300 metres are very steep reaching gradients of 12%, and you have several speed humps you need to hit which can throw out your rhythm.
The road will flatten out and over the next 300 metres average around 5%
The next 300 metres are downhill averaging -2%
The last 150 metres are steep and averages over 10%. Near the base is a speed hump which will throw out your rhythm.
The climb finishes at the intersection of Hallam North Road
