This was before my time on the bike, but had a great holiday to the Northern Territory many years back with my wife. We did one of the jumping Crocodile expeditions on the Adelaide River, and always remember the captain of the boat saying: "There's no point in me showing you where the Life jackets are kept. If the boat sinks you're likely to get eaten before you drown". Very comforting.
